New cycle! It's my birthday, and I've decided to celebrate by taking a risk with something new for me: the first edition of my newsletter: Keep It Simple - Leadership Insights.

This space will be dedicated to sharing tools, reflections, and experiences from this leadership journey, which demands much from us but can (and should) be simpler, more action-oriented, and less stressful.

After all, the journey is yours and should be lived as you wish, not as others want.

🧠 S.M.A.R.T Goals & Action Plan

Have you ever stopped to think about where you came from, where you are, and where you want to go?

Conducting a professional self-assessment is one of the key steps in setting clear objectives.

Evaluate which actions have brought you to your current position, what has worked, and what requires new strategies. Take pride in the results achieved and use them as motivation to continue. Understand what didn't work, recalculate the route, and persist. These are reflections that we should regularly engage in to avoid repeating the same mistakes and keep moving forward.

However, to do this, it is necessary to define where you want to go.

What are your goals, dreams, and objectives?

If you don't have this clear, no action will bring satisfactory results because "when you don't know where you want to go, any path will do," isn't it true?

Every goal needs to be SMART, and by setting your objectives clearly, you can create an assertive plan with easily identifiable results.

But what about when you have more than one goal and more than one dream?

How do you prioritize and focus?

This is an excellent question because we indeed desire achievements, and it is often at this point that we get distracted, lose focus, and results don't materialize.

A very effective tool for assessing where we are and where we want to go is the wheel of life, inviting us to be honest with ourselves and examine each area of our lives.

Then, as a second step, identify the lower-scoring areas and create an action plan to boost those points.

Afterward, focus on the others — one step at a time. And that's okay.

It's better to improve one thing at a time than to invest all your energy in various aspects and not get anywhere.

In leadership, we can do the same.

Leading is not an easy mission, and there are always many areas to continue developing.

But there is always one that needs special attention, and we should invest more time and energy in developing that particular aspect.

I invite you to use the tool below to self-assess and reflect on which point you've identified as the next focus in your professional development.

As I often use in my mentoring sessions, among the five pillars I work with, self-knowledge is the first step.

Knowing yourself, understanding your strengths and weaknesses, and then focusing and dedicating yourself to the outlined actions generate a much more impactful, assertive, and long-term result.
